How Can I modify the sort to work with Brazilian date mode?

Hey guys, sorry for disturb you, but recently I got a script, called jquery.dataTables.js.
And I can't find a way to place the date format as Brazilian mode, for example, by default the date() from js is YYYY/MM/DD and Brazilian mode is DD/MM/YYYY so when I use the sort on a date it not works correctly.
I tried to search on the code where is the place that I could modify or place a dateformat to solve this, but I didn't get it.
Could you guys help me with that?

What is the configuration for the column in question? There are a number of ways you could solve this, but give this a look at first.
