Add row after clicked row

Hi Allan,

i have to make to you all the compliments for Datatables, it's and remains a very powerful plugin ... infact i'm currently using Datatables into an important project

Related to my client's request, i decided to write this post because, i would like to know if i can disable sorting and add a row after a specific row. I have also to tell you that i tried to search this feature throughout the site and i found a couple of plugins, but one does not work, and the second one doesn't work fine.

i'll be short, i have added a feature called "Add Item inline", i.e. each row has a "+" symbol at the end, when a user clicks that symbol, Datatables should add a row after clicked row.

My problem is that i have already realized this feature but i can't disable sorting feature, and therefore the added row could be rendered after 10, 20 or 10 row.

Is there a manner to add a row after clicked row and disable sorting feature ? This is a customer's request and i have to satisfy its spec.

Sorting in Datatables is done by the data of each row. You can't just insert a row anywhere without it also matching the sorting that it applied to the table.
