Disabling the default filter

I am currently creating a DataTable from an existing HTML table. When the table is displayed, it filters 152 rows out of about 450 by default. I would like to turn off this default filter without completely disabling filter functionality as I have a search bar on my table.

Without seeing your code, I can suggest using search which lets you set an initial filter
