Consecutive number/running number in first column

I hope this wasnt asked before but how can I realize a consecutive number/running number in the first column? It should always count the current rows in the list. If I am on page 2 it should begin with e.g. 20, thus it acts like a rowcount. Is there maybe already a plugin for that?
