Scrolly: Table width changed when not enough rows

The table is styled for a scroll bar enabled view.
If there are not enough rows, the table collapses and the scroll bar disappears. Good!
However, once this happens, the table width is adjusted and is now taking the space including what was taken by the scroll bar.
Since there are 3 tables on the website, the 'collapsed' ones don't not align anymore with the 'non collapsed' ones.
Is there a way to keep the table width and 'add the scroll bar' if needed?
