Customize expand/collapse icon/button for responsive extension

I'm using Datatables together with Bootstrap and wish to use the responsive extension. Out of the box it works very well by adding a icon in front of the row once one of the columns are hiding, but I would like to add a custom icon/button in my 'action' column (this column is always visible). Is this possible?
