Hello, if product require license key, it means it connect to your database? It means I can not use it safety? I see that trial period is encoded, what will be after purschasing? How you will determine that another developer is actually not me?

Hi,

The Editor license is attached to your DataTables.net account, so only you can download the software and read the documentation. The licensed version includes the source code, unobfuscated. It doesn't phone home and never will. Yes there is an element of trust in that, but I personally wouldn't buy an obfuscated Javascript library, so there is no way I'm going to sell one.

The license fees from Editor are what keep DataTables going and allows me to keep developing and supporting it. "Hacking" it wouldn't be to anyone's advantage.
