usage of scrollx leading to misallignment of header

We have been using jquery datatables for a while with fixed number of columns, with colResize plugin .Now we need to implement show/hide columns, there is a possibility that we will add 30 more columns into the datatable.So we want to have scroll feature Enable.But looks like scrollx and resize plugin cannot go together.
Please let m know the alternative for scrollx.
