Showing a custom preloader modal

I am using datatable ajax.

And for pressing pagination or search, Is it possible to make all preloading to show a preloading modal view instead. like calling jQuery(".preloader").show and calling fadeout when the data is already loaded.

where can I do this calls? thanks in advance.
