Positioning shortcut menu next to icon in DataTables is distorted after plugin loads

I want to position a shortcut/context menu next to an icon inside each of the rows in the table, but I can't seem to place it correctly just next to the icon.
The menu keeps jumping around based on the page the icons are on. The problem dissappears when I disable the Databales plugin.
How can I get the correct position of the menu icon after the Datatable has rendered?
