Set hover to a datatable row automatically.

Hi can you point me out to any reading material which can help me to automatically hover on a row?
I've read about adding a select class but my requirement is to set a hover(does that make sense?).

Requirement is : After creating/editing a record and the user goes back to the main view, the previously edited record should be highlighted.
