child rows

Hi,

I can't find an example of how to get the child rows working in my setup.

We query the data from 2 tables.
1. client table -> only containing the company name and address info.
2. departments table -> containging the department names, and contact person of that department + contact info.

Some clients will not have 1 or 2 departments, other might have 5+
So we would like to have the main table rows show the company name and adres info.
then the plus sign ==> to reveal the child rows with the department information and contact info.

We now just show the client table, and for further details you have to open the clients 'details' page.

But the table, and especially the contact phone numbers are handy to quickly access.

But we query all the data directly on the same page and all the examples show ajax solutions.

Can this be done our way? or do we have to confert our current page to work with ajax?
