Adding data to DataTable inside JQuery dialog makes the headers disappear on chrome

I'm using fnAddData to add a result set to a table after the user runs a search. After adding the data to the table, the data appears successfully, but the column headers turn invisible (they're still interactable and they still sort properly, they're just invisible.) I'm on Chrome, and I'm using DT version 1.10.12. I tried updating my version of Datatables, but that didn't do anything.
