editing parameters through the object

i have a problem with adding the stateSave option

i only have access to the datatable object because it is initialized by third party code

ik tried to do dataTableObj.state.save(); and dataTabelObj.state().save() but nothing seems to work

is there someone that can help me out it would be appreciated
