how to count parent rows if child rows are hidden

My table has hidden rows with expand collapse button applied to a parent row. what I need is when I'm using pagination Datatable counts the hidden rows and shows pagination. Is there a way to count parent rows instead of counting total rows i.e.,(parent rows + hidden child rows).

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
