Binding a key together with select functionality and row children functionality

Hi,
I have a table which has expandable rows (like seen here: https://datatables.net/examples/api/row_details.html )
and in addition I can select rows using the Select functionality. (https://datatables.net/extensions/select/)

Is it possible to bind the plus (+) key so that when I click on it when selecting a row, the child-row will appear?
(very much like the standard expandable rows in Windows)
