Hi Allan,

When I am trying to open excel using Internet Explorer, it shows me an error message saying 'we found a problem with some content...' and opens excel with no data. but when I am trying to open excel using chrome, excel sheet displays data. To understand the issue I have taken one of your examples. please try to open excel below URL in both chrome and internet explorer.

https://datatables.net/extensions/buttons/examples/html5/simple.html

For more information, I have attached two screenshots in which one is download chrome and another using Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer Version 11.

Thanks in advance!

This is bug in the current release version of Buttons. If you use the nightly version of the HTML5 export buttons, it will work correctly in IE11. There are a number of other threads on this topic in the forum.

    Thanks for the quick response.
If you can link me the URL for the above-mentioned version it would be helpful.

I found nightly version files from the URL(https://datatables.net/download/nightly). Now it's working perfectly.

    Thank you so much

I have the same problem in IE11.

Chrome works fine. CSV, Copy and PDF works also in IE11.
    Only Excel Export doesn't work.

I use the latest Version of DataTables.

    Thanks for your help.

@techlab - As above, you would need to use the nightly version of Buttons until this fix is released (which it will be soon).
