YADCF - when using range_number how can I evaluate null or empty '' to equal 0?

When using range_number empty cells are not included in filter. I want to make empty '' to = 0 so they are included in the results.

YADCF is a third-party plugin, so it would be worth asking on the developer's site (if there is one). Also, without seeing any code and a live example, it would be hard for anyone to give advice,
