slow loading

I'm using a sAjaxSource call: "array.txt", I have a file of about 1200 records and it takes about 12 seconds to load (is this normal ???), I anticipate that there are 35 columns, but not all of them are made visible, could you give me some advice seen to speed up since it will have to contain about 10,000 records what worries me a little
