I have Datatables working nice and happy, thanks. All server side.
Every now and then, I want to return no results from the server side, but instead throw a message. But not a Alert box. I would like a nice inline message on Row 1, or even better, in place of the "Processing" message.
Is this possible?

ta, though I tried this earlier and couldnt get it to work. Is there a working example anywhere?
No, there's not an example, I'm afraid. You would set the inline message with
field().message(). If you're able to link to your page, we can take a look.Colin
