Fixed columns scroll with mouse wheel without scrolling non-fixed columns

I have a table that uses 3 fixed columns on the left in conjunction with X and Y Scrolling. The vertical scroll bar and the mouse wheel allow me to scroll in the y-direction and this functions normally until I use the horizontal scroll bar to scroll to the right. After that scroll bar is used, the mouse wheel will scroll the fixed columns independently of the non-fixed columns. This causes the rows to become misaligned. Is there a way to prevent this?
