Column Visiblity Button , Restore Column(colvisRestore not working when using with StateSave

Hi Allen,
First of all, I would like to thank you for such a wonderful plugin.
I am Facing an Issue with Col Visibility Button when using with StateSave extension, it is similar to the link below

any fixes available yet or any workaround for the same.

In Addition, I would like to know how can I set the background color or something else of the selected columns, so it's easily notable which columns are selected and which are not.

Allan provided the workaround of using columnVisibility in the link you provided, for example:
