I'm a newbie to the datatables. I have followed the instructions, but have not found a solution. I have json formatted data and want to display it with the searchPanes select only in the 3rd column, also want to display it in a pie chart (highchart) based on the data in columns 4, 5, and 6 as series data.

You had a typo (
searchPaneinstead ofsearchPanes) which meant all the panes were showing - see here: http://live.datatables.net/wuboreco/2/edit .This blog post shows how to integrate charts into your table.

Thank you for your correction @colin. I don't see it carefully. But I haven't seen any changes to the table when it is selected in the searchPanes filter. How do I make it work?
Finally I found that the searching function must be set true and make it work. Thanks @colin
