When using fixed columns and the footer has a colspan, the footer starts rendering at the 2nd column.

Also note that when you scroll horizontally, the fixed footer cells allow you to see what's behind them.
Unfortunately, FixedColumns (and a bunch of our other extensions such as Responsive) don't work well with colspan elements in the header or footer yet. It is something we are aware of and plan to address in future, but we don't have a time line for that yet I'm afraid.
