Corrupted column sorting with Bootstrap 4

Description of problem:
Column sorting icons intermittently get corrupt. Not sure what the exact preproduction steps are as this is not consistent. Appears to happen sometimes on initial page load, other times when clicking on the sort icons it can cause this, reloading the page can correct this or it can persist across page reloads.

Using the following packages:
-DataTables.net version 1.11.4
-Datatables.net-bs4
-Datatables.net-buttons-bs4
-Datatables.net-select
-Datatables.net-scroller
-Bootstrap 4.6
-jQuery 3.5.1

Didn't include the debug data as wasn't able to reliably reproduce the issue but it does happen often enough that it is a concern and has been reproducible on multiple systems and multiple browsers.
