Has there been any advancement as far as working with NVDA community to solve the ctrl+alt+arrow keys not navigating after reading the column headers?

Not as far as I am aware. I don't have a contact at NV Access and I haven't actually approached them about this. Have you done so, if so I can piggy back on that thread. If not, I can see if I can get in touch with them somehow (github perhaps).
