Select2 filter and ScrollY

We have the same problem as mentioned here

I can see the duplicate headers as mentioned, but can anyone tell me what I need to delete and at what point?
I understand that it's going to be a bodge, but really want both select2 filters and scrolly, so need some pointers in where to start

The example in that thread actually appears to work for me:
