Cloudtables / Wordpress Plugin / JS Customizing

routeserverrouteserver Posts: 2Questions: 1Answers: 0

I would like to embed Cloudtable into Wordpress. I have installed the appropriate plugin and integrating a simple table directly works without any problems.
Now I would like to make adjustments as described in the many examples. E.g. Child Tables. But all adjustments don't work. Unfortunately, I can't find anywhere what is already integrated into the WP plugin and how it can be expanded. Is there an explanation somewhere, an example or a tutorial that shows me how to modify the existing examples so that they work in the WP environment?

Thanks
Joerg

    Hi Joerg,

I'm sorry to say that such customisation isn't possible with the CloudTables WordPress plug-in at this time. Adding child row control to CloudTables is on the list of things to do for CloudTables - the current workaround is to use the DataTables API directly, but you need to be able to inject Javascript to the page to make that work. The intention with CloudTables is really that you shouldn't need to write any code. Apologies.

    Hi Allan,

    I understand. I'm open for experiments :-)
With wordpress I can inject JS, it's just one more plugin and I can bring in anything. And I tried to investigate in this direction. But right now with no success. Can you describe just one example that show how it works. Then I can adapt the other scripts by myself.

    Thanks
    Joerg

    Hi Joerg,

I replied to your email a few minutes ago, saying that you would need to include the jQuery before DataTables. Hopefully that'll get you going,
