Merge cells in excel for sheet 2.

I am following this link. It works fine for sheet1.xml but getting errors if I use 'sheet2.xml'.
The error is given below.

It says mergeCell[0] is undefined in its function. What should be done? Will it not be same for sheet 2 or so on ?
