Datatables Globalization

I'm in the process of updating my sites to v2.0. Each site contains multiple instances of a dataTable. Is there a way to make some of the parameters global. For example most of the uses has the pagination at the top of the table with the type set to full_numbers. So is there a way to set set - top2: { paging: { type: 'full_numbers' } }, globally rather than including it in each instance.

Further, I would like to globalize the 'language: paginate:' options so that the First, Previous, Next, Last are text rather than icons.
