When I click the "Search Builder" button, it already sets up an empty filter. I would like it to open the search builder without any filters, like this:

Is it possible?

Additionally, is it possible to add a custom button (or div) inside the search builder, like this:

No - sorry. The idea with having a condition present was that creating a condition would always be the first action that someone would take, so it simply took a way a step. What is the use case for not showing a condition? It isn't applied to the table, so there are no performance implications.

No sorry. It was never designed to be customised that way. You'd need to modify the source code to add a custom button there.
