Columns shrink on refresh in IE

Calling just about every refresh method/plugin method causes the columns to shrink "to the left" a small amount. This is IE and chrome, not FF.

Any ideas in general?

I'm using just about every single feature. Hidden columns, both filtering, refreshing, pagination, resizable columns.
