FixedColumns Chrome bug

FixedColumns Chrome bug

talkalaneetalkalanee Posts: 5Questions: 1Answers: 0

Hello,

Select an element from a fixed column and then right click the selection to copy the text. This will freeze the fixed columns when you scroll vertically. No problem in Firefox.

Chrome version is : 62.0.3202.94

I used the exemples in your website for screenshots : https://datatables.net/extensions/fixedcolumns/examples/initialisation/left_right_columns.html

Thanks,
Tarek

I've not been able to reproduce that in 62.0.3202.94 / Linux. What OS are you using?

I reproduced the bug using OS X High Sierra 10.13.1
The bug exists in Safari too versions 9.1.2 (11601.7.7) and 11.0.1 (13604.3.5)

It happens after copying the selected text using the mouse

I've just tried it on Chrome Mac (10.11.6) and I've not been able to recreate the issue there either.

    When I'm doing:

    1. Load this page
    2. Highlight the text a.ramos@datatables.net using the mouse.
    3. Right click and select copy
    4. Move the scrolling using the mouse wheel. It stays insync.

    Am I missing something?

Did you try to scroll the unfixed columns. It will work on scrolling the fixed columns, but not for the unfixed ones

Did you try to scroll the unfixed columns.

Thats the key and using the mouse to copy. I replicated the issue with El Capitan and Chrome 61.0.3163.100.
