how to remove extra space between gridview header and the content body

Hello,
I just started using DataTables for it's scrolling feature. It works fine but it also creates an extra row of space between the header row which is <thead> and the content body which is the <tbody> section in the html.

Does any know how to fix it? I am running IE 11.
