ORDER BY 'datetime' DESC is not working in UI

I have several values stored in my database as the DATETIME datatype (YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS), and I've been trying to get them in a descending order - Greatest to least (In the case of dates - Newest to oldest), though, oddly enough, it seems to ignore the existence of the DESC operator entirely in my UI.i used datatable plugin.please help me

At least it is not working for numeric data such as ID s.please help me

Would you be able to give me a link to an example showing the issue? In this simple example you can see the date sorting works for both ASC and DESC and as such I'd need an example in order to offer any help.
