on initial load sorting is not working, works after a text search/page navigation

Description of problem: on the initial load sorting on any of the columns is not working. but, once I do a text search or apply any filter, sorting works fine after that.

Its hard to say without seeing the problem. Are you using server side processing? Do you get errors in the browser's console?
