Export titles and messages

The export button types have the ability to include information in addition to that shown in the DataTable - specifically they can show the page title, table captions or custom messages. The following options are supported for copy, excel, pdf and print (for the full reference of how these parameters can be used, please see the buttons.exportInfo() documentation):

title - Shown at the very top of the exported document
messageTop - Shown between the title and the table in the exported document
messageBottom - Shown below the exported table

Please note that the CSV export button types do not support these options! Including this type of meta information in a CSV file would make it unreadable to a CSV viewer.

This example demonstrates the use of these options in various configurations:

copy uses all of the default (title and caption bottom in this case)
excel shows a top message in addition to the title and caption
pdf shows only the title and not the caption
print shows a top message with a function to derive the text to display, but not the caption.

This example uses a little bit of additional CSS beyond what is loaded from the library files (below), in order to correctly display the table. The additional CSS used is shown below:

The following CSS library files are loaded for use in this example to provide the styling of the table:

This table loads data by Ajax. The latest data that has been loaded is shown below. This data will update automatically as any additional data is loaded.

The script used to perform the server-side processing for this table is shown below. Please note that this is just an example script using PHP. Server-side processing scripts can be written in any language, using the protocol described in the DataTables documentation.
